Daniel James Covey was the son of Walter Covey and Mary Tryon. Daniel James Covey was born on 30 January 1842 in Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), QC. He was baptized on 8 May 1842 in St Armand, Missisquoi Co, QC; St Armand Methodist Church. He died on 9 October 1869 in Deli, MI, at age 27; Stanstead Journal.      It appears that Daniel J. Covey enlisted into 8th Regiment, Co. B on 1 February 1862. His residence was then listed as Derby. Daniel is said to have been mustered out 18 February 1862. He re-enlisted 18 Febuary 1864, deserted 18 May 1864, was returned on 10 may 1865 under Pres. Proc. War Department and received a dishonorable discharge 11 May 1865.

Timothy Tryon was the son of Timothy Tryon and Mary M. Longeway. Timothy Tryon was born in January 1823 in Noyan, Missisquoi Co, QC.      As of this writing (1990) no baptism has been located to substantiate that Timothy is the son of Timothy Tryon and Mary Longeway. However, he and his wife were of Clarenceville, Quebec in 1851 and were later living at Westport, NY. The 1880 census of Westport indicated that Timothy's parents were born in Canada and France. I should think this would at least point the way to a Longeway connection. The 1860 census of Elizabethtown, Essex County, NY shows Timothy, aged 35, Julia, 29; Silas, 11; Augusta, 9, "Syllia", 5, and Alice, 3. At this time, it is not known if Celia was another daughter of Timothy's or if this was Celia, daughter of Joseph Tryon.

Emily Almeda Tryon was the daughter of Daniel Tryon Jr. and Amy Almeda Wait. Emily Almeda Tryon was born on 28 February 1844 in Noyan, Missisquoi Co, QC.1 She was baptized on 14 July 1844 in St Armand, Missisquoi Co, QC.1 She died on 9 April 1951 in Beebe, Stanstead Co, QC, at age 107.       As of 29 September 1863,her married name was Moir. Feb. 21, 1946 - The Stanstead Journal --- Thursday, Feb. 28, will be the one hundred and second birthday anniversary of Beebes, indeed we may say Stanstead Countys, grand old lady, Mrs. Emma (Tryon) Moir. It will be recalled that on the occasion of her one hundredth birthday anniversary, she was accorded an unusual demonstration of popular good will and esteem, receiving more than three hundred messages of congratulations and good wishes, including those of their Majesties, the King and Queen, The Governor General of Canada, Lieut. Governor of the Province of Quebec, Prime Minister King and Hon. Adelard Godbout, then Premier of Quebec; Senator C.B.Howard and a host of other more or less prominent people. Her multitude of admirers and friends are widely scattered over the continent. This writer, having business in Beebe, recently called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Boulais, her son in law and daughter, with whom she has resided for many years, to inquire about her health. He found her looking and feeling well, seemingly not a day older than on her one hundredth birthday anniversary. She was, as usual, alert, witty, and humorous, her faculties apparently normal, except for slight deafness. 3 March 1949 - The Stanstead Journal --- Monday, Feb. 28 was something of a gala day in at least one house in Beebe, the occasion being the 105th birthday anniversary of that grand and greatlt loved old lady, Mrs. Emma Moir. There was nothing formal about gathering scores of neighbors and friends, some of whom came from a considerable distance away to pay homage to this venerable lady. The wires, both telephone and telegraph, were kept hot with messages of felicitations from both church dignitaries and civilian celebrities, including His Majesty The King, His Excellancy Viscount Alexander, Governor-General of Canada, Rt. Hoon. W.L. MacKenzie King, Col. George Drew, Sebeator C.B. Howard, John T. Hackett, K.C., M.P., D. Gerin, M. L.A., and numerous others.

Mary Jane Percy was the daughter of John Percy and Priscilla Tryon. Mary Jane Percy was born on 7 May 1851.1 She died in 1934.1 She was buried in Burke Center Cemetery, Burke, Franklin Co, NY.1      Her married name was March.1 Sharon Atkinson Madden mentions in her e-mail that "Jenny" tauught music and played the organ at the Burke Methodist Church for many years.1 Her married name was Middleton.1 Her married name was Duel.1 She was New Tag on 25 July 2002.

Hester Ann Percy was the daughter of John Percy and Priscilla Tryon. Hester Ann Percy was born on 17 July 1853 in N. Burke, Franklin Co, NY; obituary, Pine Poker Pioneer Press (Pine City, MN) 6 Oct 1932. She died on 29 September 1932 in N. St Paul, ? Co, MN, at age 79; obituary, Pine Poker Pioneer Press (Pine City, MN) 6 Oct 1932. She was buried on 1 October 1932 in Pine City, Pine Co, MN; Birchwood Cemetery.      Hester and her husband, John Atkinson, went to Kossouth County, Iowa, sometime after the birth of their first son, Charles Percy Atkinson in 1876. The 1880 census shows her as Ester, and her gravestone in Pine City, Minnesota shows her as Hattie. Sharon Atkinson Madden sent a transcript of Hester's obituary, located in the Pine Poker Pioneer Press (Pine City, MN) dated 6 October 1932: "Last Rites for Mrs. John Atkinson - Funeral services for Mrs. Hester Atkinson were conducted Sat. afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. J.J. Parish from the Methodist Church and the remains were laid to rest beside those of her husband in Birchwood Cemetery. The pallbearers were J.D. Bogle, D.W. Schofield, Charles Beechel, John D. Wilcox, Knut Sandberg and Erick Sandberg. Mrs. Hester Ann Atkinson was born 7/17/1853 at N. Burke, NY, the daughter of Mr & Mrs John Percy. She grew to womanhood there and on June 14, 1874, she was united in marriage to John Atkinson. They resided in Quebec until 1878 and then moved to Iowa where they made their home until 1898 when they came to Pine City, Minnesota. Mrs. Atkinson had made her home with her daughter the past two years. She is survived by one son, Charles Percy Atkinson and one daughter, Mrs. Wooden of N. St Paul, Minnesota. Mrs Atkinson passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Wooden in N. St Paul last Thursday morning, September 29, at the age of 79 years, 2 mos and 12 days. Her illness was about 26 days."
